Field Trips are Back!

The RBA held its first field trip since March, on August 1 at Conesus Lake.  We tested out our new COVID-19 guidelines, and everything went great!   Based on the success of this trip, we’re thrilled to be able to offer some additional field trips this fall.  Please note that all trips now require pre-registration for all participants. Details on how to register are found on the trip listing on both our website and on facebook.

The most important change is that pre-registration for the trip is required for all participants.  Details on how to register are found on the trip listing on both our website and on facebook.  For reference, here is the complete list of our COVID-19 field trip guidelines:

Please Wear a Mask! The RBA recommends that birders wear protective masks in the field during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even when we are not on organized field trips, birders often congregate closely while viewing birds, especially when there’s a rarity to see. In our excitement over a sighting, it’s easy to forget to maintain social distance.
